Product Description
This is the latest but almost certainly not the last edition of a small classic that first appeared nearly a century ago. It addresses a phenomenon that occurs only once in a while, sometimes in a very long while the laws and customs that apply when Erev Pesach falls on Shabbos. First published in 1927, it has gone through many editions, all of which have been enthusiastically embraced by rabbis and laypeople across the world. It presents the essential information in a clear and concise format, and for the more scholarly, it provides footnotes animated by lively discussions and a wealth of knowledge drawn from the early and later Poskim. It also features a special section called Purim Meshulash, offering guidance for the three days of Purim that occur in Yerushalayim during those same years when Erev Pesach falls on Shabbos. This section was prepared and edited many years before by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, the illustrious Rav of Yerushalayim. Rabbi Weitz added footnotes and incorporated it into his sefer. This new edition contains both the original Hebrew and new English translation, prepared by Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Reinman.
