The Techinas, are the voice which women have used to approach G-D and to serve Him. Calling upon Him with feeling has untold merit. For G-D to be present in our most intimate daily experence - to commune with Him in that most private, unstructered moment, and to know that He is there and ready to answer - therein lies the blessing.
Many of the Techinas were written by women, for women.
The Techinas included in theses 3 volumes are primarily in yiddish, the vernacular of European Jewish women for over a thousand years. However, certain Techinas which were euther originally composed in Hebrew or translated into Hebrew and commonly recited in that language have also been included.
In both Yiddish or Hebrew translated into English.
